This is *ed-s-ed’s review on Shadow the Hedgehog

Out of the years, Sonic team came out with great Sonic games. Therefore, I was happy and jumpy when I heard about Shadow the hedgehog, and seeing the part of Sonic being knocked down right under Shadow’s feet. Then the game came out, and I was first in line of getting it, two months after it came out.

STORY:
Shadow is confused on who he is and then the aliens attack! No joke, aliens attack and Shadow is somehow taking Knuckles’ place and is talked into finding the chaos emeralds for them to find out his past.

GRAPHICS:
The graphics are good, fits with it, other then the part of the cars flashing and Shadow floating in air for a short time, and him and Sonic being the shiniest hedgehogs I have ever seen.

SOUND:
The sound could be better then what it is, but as long as Shadow doesn’t say, ‘Play time is over!’ I’m fine.

MUSIC:
Some of the music I could do without, I like the song ‘I am’ however ‘All hail Shadow’ is plan on annoying, and I rather drive a needle in my head then hear it one more time.

GAMEPLAY:
The game play is chunky and hard to do, as you drive, fly, or heck even run at points, you can’t even go the way you want to go without moving so slow that you die in a flash from the shine on Shadow’s head.

EXTRAS:
In 2player mode, you pick from different kind of Shadows to fight as. One thing I want to know is why Sonic isn’t added into the 2player mode, he’s in the game after all.

A cool extra is the ability to pick a path to take, you could help the evil side and take over the world, or stop the bad guys and cuss them to hell. However to get the different endings you have to beat the game a hundred times taking different paths just to get Shadow to say something different at the end, ‘All hail shadow’ to play, and the feeling of accomplishment. Playing the game over and over again gets boring after the second level and the only thing it had going for it was the guns, which didn’t have a point at all, and didn’t need to be used in the game, that and changing the voices and subtitles into Japanese.

OVERALL:
Overall, this game was bad, and I would say if you want, it then rent it. It’s really not worth anything compared to the name Knuckles so don’t get this, I would rather play Sonic heroes then play this, and you would too.
